Frame Shop Identity

Student brief to design an employee
newsletter reflecting the caring and
friendly ethos of Bupa.
I used Bupa’s recognisable blue box
logo to create a series of illustrations
throughout the newsletter making the
content more approachable.
This illustrative treatment was extended
to three following issue covers.
Convenience Store Identity
Student brief to design a striking and
versatile identity for a 24 hour
Playing on the universal truth that
convenience stores are frequented
because they’re near to hand, I
created an identity inspired by the
phrase ‘within spitting distance’ and
the accompanying cultural cues of the
american sport of cherry pit spitting.
Identity for an interior painting and decorating company.
Student brief to design collateral
for an event that will change
negative public perceptions of a
person, group or organisation.
Greenwich’s Fan Museum is often
perceived as a stuffy and old-ladyish
attraction, relatively unknown outside
of it’s niche interest group, and
outshone by others in the area.
I designed elements for a Japanese war
fan exhibition and launch night event for
those wanting to try something a little
more unexpected and exciting.
Student brief to design an annual
report for stakeholders of the furniture
manufacturer, Herman Miller.
Using Max De Pree’s quote
(shown opposite) as a springboard,
I extracted elements from each of
the various pages, such as design
icons and content from the Chief
Executive letter to reflect a range of
stakeholders bringing their talents
and skills to the Herman Miller table.
Student brief to design a visual identity
for a new telecoms brand aimed at
11 to 19 year olds.
Inspired by a taleidoscope which
forms patterns by mirroring the
external environment, I designed a
dynamic and reconfigurable brand
identity that enables customers to
create personalised packaging by
uploading a photo.
Student brief to design boutique food
packaging for a fantasy market.
I chose to design seafaring food
supplies for frontier pushing Vikings.
Relying heavily on their senses,
sunstones, celestial bodies and songs
to discover new lands, I thought I’d
give the Vikings a helping hand with
tinned food packaging that doubles up
as a navigational aid and trading item.
Handmade Book Cover
Student brief to design a hardback
book cover and dust jacket
incorporating a handmade element.
Taking inspiration from key narrative
elements of Terry Pratchett’s Discworld
novel ‘Going Postal’, I hand punched
holes to resemble postal stamp
perforations. Gold leaf was also
positioned behind the holes referencing
the postmaster’s uniform and fire which
engulfs the post office.
